CHASING THE TRUTH: The most powerful drug on earth has just been invented, but no one bothered to tell the researcher that the drug is being tested secretly on the general public. The drug is also being tested by the CIA and the State Department, and soon - on the President of the United States.

Researcher, Jesse Harris, working under a Department of Defense contract, finds his world abruptly destroyed, when he learns of the illegal use of the drug, code name:‘Precise.’ Unable to contemplate a world dominated by the potent drug, he steals the samples and the computer data.

Craig Fletcher, a police officer with his own problems, rushes to Seattle to help his friend, Harris. However, Fletcher and his wife unknowingly
step into a world of espionage, treason, and death.

Special Forces launch themselves in a race against time and orders go out to retrieve the drug, - at any cost.

Lieutenant General Randolph Miller left the officer's dining room at the Pentagon in a foul mood, and headed back to his office in answer to a page. He had been looking forward to a leisurely lunch followed by a round of golf, but he knew he probably could kiss that idea goodbye. He simply didn't get a page unless it was important.

Miller was director of Defense Advanced Research Projects; (DARP), which included Biochemical Advanced Research Testing; (BRAT) officed in Arlington, Virginia. He also had office space in the Pentagon.

The corridors were practically deserted due to the weekend routine, and although Miller was almost used to the structure, he couldn't get over the fact that someone had the gall to build an office building with six million, five hundred and forty thousand square feet of office space; and not an elevator to be seen anywhere.

Sitting down to his desk, slightly out of breath because of his five foot ten, one hundred ninety pound frame, he re-lit the cigar he had been enjoying when his pager had gone off. Punching the glowing light, he growled, "Miller here, Sir."
"Yes sir, General Miller this is Major Strickler, Sir."

"Ah," Miller said somewhat relieved. "This better be good. In fact it better be bloody important to have interrupted what I was doing." Miller could detect the pause before Strickler answered, and knew he wasn't going to like what was coming.

"I'm sorry, sir. There has been a major development in connection with our program. ... Ah, General could I ask if your phone is secure?"

Miller reached over and activated a switch, leaned back and puffed on his cigar, dropping ash down the front of his immaculate uniform. "All right, get on with it Major."

"Yes, sir. It's to do with 'Precise'. We've had a serious security breach at the lab in Maple Falls."

Miller sat forward, the blood draining from his face, dreading to hear how much of a security breach had taken place. This was his ass on the line here. "Go ahead," he said in a strained voice.

"It can't get much worse, Sir. The whole thing is gone. The..."

Miller burst out, "What do you mean, Mister, by 'the whole thing is gone'?" Miller could hear Strickler take a deep breath before answering the question.

"On Friday,..."

"Friday!" Miller exploded. "Something happened on Friday and you're just getting around to telling me now?"

"Please, Sir... General I have a lot of information to pass on to you."

"Okay Major, you just go ahead and spell it out. Spell it out nice and clear." Miller flipped a switch and started the tape recorder.

"On Friday, Grant made a routine call to our agent in place - Hank Corey, and when he did, Corey was giving him some strange answers. We paid a visit and found out that he had been given the experimental drug. He told Jesse Harris, the person in charge of the lab project, about the military application and the field testing for the Justice Department."

There was no interruption, just silence on the line, so Strickler continued. "When we arrived, Corey was alone and Harris was gone. Along with the samples, discs, and.. I'm afraid all the information on 'Precise'"

"Oh my, God!" Miller whispered to himself.
