WHY??? 

I'm a fast adopter and energizer- smitten with the concept of Living Networks (do read my friend Ross' book)- so in Dec 02 created the Rise'n Shine Downunder tribe for Australia.

Some say I am a champion change agent....well, someone's gotta do it!

My role is that of a catalyst -  to let the magic in people and their fertile minds happen...

By helping to connect them with one another, with the business strategy, by encouraging play and random discovery, imagination and creativity and constructive challenging of the status quo, collaborating with experts to share knowledge, and championing ideas from concept to implementation.I also look after the Intranet and Stakeholder Communication- in all...I am like a funds manager of "intellectual" assets

I have just been invited to join the steering committee of FITT...(see...http://www.fitt.org.au) and encourage other women who work in the IT&T world to add your name to the mailing list for a fantastic network...and by the way guys...its not sexist, all events are open to anyone who is interested!

I serve on the board of an organisation that works for diversity and social harmony. Please sign the Bulletin Board on http://www.chainreaction.org.au if you have comments on this subject....talking about these matters is a start!.  

Another volunteer role is as mentor to Social Ventures (refer http://www.socialventures.com.au) which helps social entrepreneurs with business plans, strategic and operational issues and attracting "venture capital" to grow the social capital of our society.

I  have a keen interest in Sustainable Futures and Corporate Citizenship and have some great stories to share about the things we did in Southern Africa and how they made both business and communities better!
