"Go
confidently in the directions of your dreams. Live the life you've
imagined...."
--Henry
David Thoreau
Greetings
ladies and gentlemen:
Thank
you for stopping by my Ryze page, it's a real pleasure to make your acquaintance.
I
am both a press agent specializing in media and high-tech businesses...
and an award-winning writer-producer working in all media.
Soon
after graduating from high school in Orlando, Florida, back in 1984 (after
spending fresh year in Greenville, IL, soph year in Chattanooga, TN, and
junior year in Ft. Lauderdale, FL), I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves
and enrolled at the University of Central Florida. Working full-time
while putting myself through college, my experience over the next six years
culminated in supervisory-level Air Force experience in instructional systems
design and photojournalism and two B.A. Communications degrees from UCF,
among many other accomplishments. During the nearly fourteen years
that have passed since my college days, I've earned broad expertise through
high-level production, marketing and media relations work... first in Orlando
and then in Los Angeles.
After
ten years of marriage, when my wife Beth and I learned that we were "blessed
with child" right at the end of 2000, we began making plans to relocate
from LA to the mountains of North Carolina. The plan has worked wonderfully...
and our daughter born in 2001 was joined by a baby brother at the end of
2003. Our home is near Appalachian State University in the Blue Ridge
Mountains... and living in such a beautiful place, we feel especially lucky
to have found so many unique friends here. I attribute a lot
of that to our family-members who moved here ahead of us, as well as Beth's
involvement in establishing and running The
Playhouse.
When
I'm not enjoying the great outdoors or this wonderful family life, I have
the great pleasure of designing and conducting results-oriented public
relations campaigns for some amazingly cool companies,
and working on original creative projects.
Thank
you for visiting... and here's wishing you the life you've imagined.
Very
best wishes -- Roger D.
