I recently posted a new picture to my profile here on Ryze, which more professional. I decided to put up a photo which shows the "real" me. I'm not here to be something I'm not or to pretend that I look so nice all the time. That doesn't work for me. The truth is, some days I look blotchy, tired, and kind of washed out ... :) I feel like we place so much value on appearances we may neglect the person and who we really want to show the world. I'm not saying don't take your time and pamper yourself. I love make up and dressing up (or down). I am saying it's not all about what we see on the outside 24/7. I'm still me in these pictures. Same person, same thoughts, same feelings, same everything. The only differnce is, I don't look so "perfect" in the other ones. I guess, what I'm trying to share is ... there's always more under the surface from what we think we see on the outside. There's also always room for improvement, taking care of ourselves and taking those extra little steps that make us feel good. A lot of people wouldn't post this picture but I think it goes to how human everyone is. Mind you, I'm not saying not to be all you can be. I am saying don't be afraid to show who you are. And no :) I would not have put this picture up a couple years ago because I was busy listening to everyone else say it wouldn't be a good idea. I'm supposed so show this great knowledge and be all professional. Okay, so who thinks I'm not professional anymore? I think this is case and point for all that I try to share with all of you. Here's to keepin it real folks. None of us are perfect. So here's to our imperfections!
