UPDATED SEPTEMBER 1 2007

I flew up to Seattle last night after walking around in a daze all day. Immediately upon walking into my parents' home, I dropped my things and went to my Dad's room, forgetting to hug or say hello to anyone else. He lay there, his every bone poking out, his mouth open - in a coma. We stayed up in shifts with him last night. The hospice nurse suggested that perhaps he needed to be alone to die, but he'd told my Mom that he didn't want to be alone. Therefore, we always have at least one person by his side. Today, when we went to turn him, he opened his eyes, whimpering in pain, tears running down his cheeks. As the hours pass, he looks less and less like the man that I remember. Treasure your moments together...

UPDATE AUGUST 31, 2007

It's been a struggle over the past 2 years watching my Dad go from a tough, stocky man - to a man of around 105 pounds living on the edge of his bed while being hooked up to various tubes. Today is August 31, 2007 and he woke up unresponsive today, so I am flying up tonight to be with my family. After the struggle to breathe and be alive these past many months, I feel great sadness mixed with a twinge of relief. He will be in a better place - although I will miss him.

I wound up not continuing on with my massage therapy school last year since I was due to start right after the doctors gave my Dad 3 months to live. I guess it wasn't meant to be for me to attend. I have instead started school for my life-long love of writing. Currently, I am attending writing classes at a community college in preparation for graduate school. I feel very much at home spending my time writing.

UPDATED JULY 2006

I'm updating this page in July 2006. Last month, I started going back to school to become a Certified Aromatherapist. My interest in Essential Oils over the past several years has been for medicinal use, but the focus of this program is releasing blocked emotions and memories. It has been a mental struggle for me to move from the Acting and Theater world into Alternative Medicine. However, I feel like I'm "following my path" at this time. It was my Dad's Cancer surgery in January that helped me to re-examine my life and finally jump back into school. My teacher is even from Austria - where my father is from! A bit of synchronicity always makes life more interesting. My Mom's arm is finally recovering after she broke it on the same day that my Dad came home from the hospital. After my Dad's surgery and my Mom's visit to the Emergency Room - and then my Mom's two arm surgeries, I've had enough of hospitals for a while!

My husband's time as a Contractor (yes, from Broadway Stage Manager to Contractor) has ended and he is now back working (sort of) in his field....his new job has to do with stage and studio lighting. He is very happy with his new job, which of course makes me happy, too!

My kids, husband and I worked as extras on a History Channel Show based on "Ghosts of Vesuvius" earlier this year. It was a fun family adventure and, while it was extra work, it gave me at least a taste of being back in the acting world.

These past three plus years I've spent studying Law of Attraction and coaching people in Deliberate Creation. For those of you who know little or nothing about this, it is consciously changing thought patterns to create the life that you want. I still do a bit of coaching here and there when I have some free time. My interests have become more of a spiritual nature, however. I've found it's best to focus on an emotional state rather than solely material objects.

I still love research and I continue with that when I have the opportunity. The most exciting results that have happened in my research were helping a friend that had been searching for her birth father for years. I found him in only a few hours of searching. Another exciting connection was when I located several distant cousins that I never knew I had. I have been a researcher for approximately 13 years in a variety of different fields. Please let me know if you need research assistance and I'd be happy to help.

Formerly, I was pursuing Acting here in Southern California after having completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. I've been on hiatus for a while, but if you're interested, you may view my Acting Resume HERE!
