We've all heard it. "It isn't what you know, it's
who you know!" Old business types would use this
again and again. Trying to share their words of
wisdom.
In a way it has some merit. Although what you
know is also important, especially in today's
age of the Internet! Let's face it, we must know
what we're doing and talking about. Specifically
when it comes to our prospects, customers, and
clients. You see, one must offer adequate if not
excellent service after the sale. Otherwise we
won't be doing business with that person again.
Think about that. If that happened you would also
lose out on the business of their sphere of influence.
Not to mention their possible Internet contact base!!
Why you say? Because negative comments move like the
speed of light!! So because of that, the one who
referred you in the first place will probably not
do business with you anymore.
So face the facts. WHO YOU KNOW has become vitally
important in business today. Especially online!
However..
They need to know you, like you and trust you.
So be patient. This takes time, and we can continue
to build on this by Networking, or what I like to refer to
as Relationshipping and Friendshipping!!
