My favourite quote is from a well-known intellectual called Dolly Parton: "Discover who you are, and then do it on purpose!"
I have two decades rolling in the media, seeing places and people, and some of it sticks in the memory...tumbles out as anecdotes, cocky comments and occasional pearls of wisdom.
Inside my cranium a lot of things soak like pickles: Here, you can find one-liners, Madan Mohan's music, Tamil Brahmin thoughts, Hindi belt dialects, IT jargon, jokes, humourful wisdom, wisdomless humour, profoundity, ...and poetry, politics, realistic idealism, idealistic realism, middle-class hangups...
Always wanted to start a journal that would have the content of Economic and Political Weekly and the style of Stardust! In its absence, meet me!
And then, please, I am called Madhavan...some people call me Narayanan cos of my first name, but for many in southern India, its the other way around!
