I'm older than I look (yes, the pix above is current 10-2008) and my deepest longing and joy is seeing people shake off the bondages they once accepted and becoming true to themselves. Perhaps some day I'll become a counsellor or something...someday, maybe. {Just got to let you know I received my Reiki 1 training in March 2009. I love feeling Supreme Wisdom's power flow through me.} For now, just get to know me. Once a woman with great passion asked me if I took appointments to counsel; I told her "No, just drop in for coffee one day." She never showed up; I guess I wasn't official enough for her. I still pray for her...just like I pray for you. Pray for you? Why'd Patricia do that? Because you have touched my life...and I remember to care for every person who touches or is touched by my life in any way, directly or indirectly. Kooky, maybe. Idealistic? Maybe. Pollyannaish? Sure, why not? Am I hiding behind rose colored glasses? Could be. You see I don't really care who you see me...only that you see me in some manner. Then I know what's inside me can flow out to you in some manner that neither of us understand. Kinda spooky. Maybe, if you let it be so. But never dark spooky. Always light. Just think how much time archeologists spend looking at painted potsherds and cuniform tablets! My grandmother, a foundling with only a first name, was given photos of her mother because someone kept a handwritten journal. A young man, doing a genealogy search, found a cryptic note, "My sister's daughter, Nettie, married ...today." Nettie's name had never been spoken in several generations. She was totally unknown. The young man followed the handwritten clues, found my grandmother and gave her what she had never dared to dream of, a mother. All this because someone took up a pen and jotted something down. Well, now you know I am passionate about pens, history, handwriting, and you. If we only think about what we are now and what we have, well, that is all we will ever be or ever have. A friend of mine once said, "As a person thinks in his heart, that's what he is." I like thinking new thoughts. I like becoming more than I am just now. You are helping me do it.
