Welcome! Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting me here on RYZE! I look forward to meeting you and learning more about you and your business.
My name is Christina, and I'm a professional trombonist. I live with my husband Andrew in sunny Raleigh, NC. Andrew is a professional percussionist and composer, and we enjoy making music together! Spending time with Andrew and our friends is my favorite thing to do. Aside from playing trombone, I also enjoy yoga, riding bikes, reading, and having my afternoon coffee and snack!
My Business - Summerglen Music I am a classically-trained musician who worked for several years as a band director for our local school system. Although helping young students discover music was fulfulling, I grew frustrated that I could not show more people the joy of making music. Each day, I heard adults say, "I can't sing", "I'm tone deaf", or "I have no creativity/talent", and could do little to help them recognize and use their true musical abilities.
Our mission at Summerglen Music is to help people discover, develop, and enjoy their signature musical sound in a positive environment. Each person has some measure of innate musical talent and a unique personal sound. At Summerglen, we help people use their musical talents to accomplish their goals in life, whether it is to become a professional musician, or to increase their ability to think of creative solutions at work.
We accomplish our mission by offering high-quality services in three areas: performance, education, and business workshops.
1. Performance - Summerglen Music offers musical performances for parties, weddings, and other special events in North Carolina. We specialize in tailoring our instrumentation and repertoire to create an atmosphere that is uniquely YOU. The Summerglen musicians are also available for solo and freelance work, recording, and composition.
2. Education - Summerglen offers private music lessons, workshops, clinics, and masterclasses for people of all ages who want to learn more about making music. Private lessons are held at Summerglen Music Studio in Raleigh, and clinics can be held at any location in North Carolina. We strive to give students the support, encouragement, and direction they need to succeed musically.
3. Business Workshops - Summerglen provides memorable and effective teambuilding events for businesses and organizations that can help increase motivation, teamwork, and creativity in the workplace. We offer creative improvisation workshops, teambuilding drum circles, and musical presentations tailored to fit the specific needs of your company. We are also open to working with business and life coaches who are interested in integrating music into their practices.
