As a web designer, Ginger states that she is primarily self taught and is currently working towards a double major degree in Web Design and Digital Design through Sessions.Edu, an online, distance learning accredited school

And, just in case you are wondering how she became known by that wonderful and fun name, The WebWench...here's Ginger's story, in her own words.....

Back when I was the co-manager of an art list, the name WebWench was pinned on me because of my attitude and willingness to be open and honest... an alternative for the "B" word. This was a humorous term of endearment.

I also have a fondness for all things Pirate related, and like it or not, a female on a pirate ship was called a Wench.

They started calling me the WebWench, and it just stuck.

When I decided to open my own web design business, I wanted to incorporate this into my business name, as a reminder that I'm now the captain of my own ship, so to speak.

WebWench describes "a person that serves the needs of others." I provide services, if you are in need of those services, I'm just the WebWench that can help!

It's a fun reminder to never take myself too seriously. ;o)

As a way of giving back to the Internet community that has taken me in so graciously, I aim to give back wherever I can to help others reach for, and realize success.

My favorite way to return the kindness and help I've received, is through participating in, and moderating some of the most useful forums online today. I moderate forums such as "Web Design and Development", "Search Engine Optimization and Ranking", and "Business Startup & Management" for iBizwomen.com, and have just recently been named the "Search Engine Specialist" at i-Cop.org! Both of these are business associations I'm proud of, and invite you to check out if you're interested in furthering your online community participation. You should never feel alone, because you're not!
