My name is Yvonne Reeves-Chong; I am not the founder of SeedTime & Harvest. I am its steward.

I am also a middle-aged, divorced, empty-nester who has spent a lifetime crunching numbers, corralling facts, and concentrating on making enough money to support my family. I have never had time nor inclination (nor desire) to craft. No scissors, no paper, nor cutting or clipping. No beading, no stringing. No crafts. So you can imagine my surprise when the Lord gave me the idea for "The Sowable Word" gift cards.

"Who, me... Make paper?.. How do you make paper?.. And with seeds, no less... Lord, are you sure you want me?.. To make paper... Making paper is a craft!.. Whine... Whine... Snuffle...Sniff... Whine..."

When I finally stopped long enough to breath, the Lord lead me to Ephesians.

"...This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about." Eph 2:8-9CEV

God is so God. I didn't found SeedTime & Harvest. God gave me a business to run. A business for Him. About Him. He put me in a place where I have to fully rely on Him. I have no talent for crafts, but He does. SeedTime & Harvest is absolutely where my very limited capability meets His Limitless Super-ability.

So, welcome to my new life. I cut and clip, sow and snip. Sow? I bet you're thinking that I made a typo. I didn't. I sow. "The Seed is the Word of God," Luke 8:11. I intend to sow until East meet West, around the nations.

All of our products are conceived with non-confrontational, low-key yet effective witness in mind. The goal of each of our products is to "Inspire Questions." Of course, as Christians, we have The Answer. Jesus Christ. He is Savior, Healer, Redeemer and Soon-coming King.

Jesus is the Living Word and the Word is seed.
