Since 2004, Dr. Jennifer Walden has received numerous professional honors and awards in the field of reconstructive and plastic surgery. As an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Jennifer Walden demonstrated her commitment to academic excellence and was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society, the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society, and the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society. After graduating with honors in Biology, Dr. Jennifer Walden entered the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she won several awards and scholarships, including the Herman Barnett Memorial Award, the Mavis P. Kelsey Excellence in Medicine Award, the Isabella H. Brackenridge Award, the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Award and Achievement Citation, the Merck Manual Award, and the Donald P. Duncan Memorial Scholarship Award in Anatomy. Dr. Jennifer Walden went on to train in the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, collaborating with fellow professionals on a number of papers for publication in scholarly journals, including the Annals of Plastic Surgery, the Association of Women Surgeons Career Development Resource on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. After completing her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Jennifer Walden earned a fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, where she later became Program Director. In May 2005, Dr. Jennifer Walden won the Best Scientific Exhibit Award for her work on brow depressor muscle resection, presented at the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Annual Meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, in April 2004. Dr. Jennifer Walden currently holds active memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, in which she serves as Chairman of the Candidate Liaison Committee; the National Council of Leaders in Breast Aesthetics; the American Society of Plastic Surgeons; the New York State and County Medical Societies; and other professional organizations.
