Some stuff about me... I spent 12 years working for two of the leading computer companies (Dell and Compaq (now HP)), all of that time spent in technical service & customer support. An interesting experience being part of the revolution that moved personal computing from a minority interest to the mainstream. Latterly I've lead the Sales Support team at Newbridge Networks (now part of Alcatel). The last three years have been spent working for ntl, the UK's largest cable company. Originally joining as part of an "internet-centric" project team, an more recently driving the direction of intranet and related electronic channels as part of the corporate communications department. A different challenge, but one that has been and continues to be enjoyable and rewarding. The integration and use of electronic media in the area of employee communication has been over-sold in some respects, but not fully exploited in others - I still believe this is an evolving and experimental area... Out of work... Anyway, in my spare time I do a bit of (elementary) web work, produce pen & ink drawings, indulge in some DIY (we recently moved to a thatched cottage in the wonderful Wiltshire countryside), take some photographs and generally enjoy life!
