Me the person.....Am basically born & brought up in a small but beautiful town called Atul that's located on the Mumbai-Surat highway. Have been a resident of Chennai since the mid 80's that probably makes me a "south indian"!!. At 33, i can only say that i thank god greatly for having been kind to me and given me a good life that is loving parents & a sister, an extremely dear wife and the latest addition to my family, my little son Aaryaman. I am an extremely simple person who is brutally honest with oneself. I am a quiet person by nature and hate people who make a noise about themselves, no matter what they have achieved in life. My biggest achievement in life so far has been the ability to remain focussed on establishing strong meaningful relationships. I am closest to my wife and son. I am a level headed person and extremely reliable and dependable, never to cheat anyone under any circumstance. Am extremely passionate about music and i would do anything to meet my idols Joe Satriani and the greatest band that ever set foot on this earth - Iron Maiden (Up the Irons!!). Have dreamz of launching a music studio as part of my home, sometime when i can afford it and also have the time but its something that i dream a lot about. This studio will have the best acoustic environment but all from within my home and will be accessible only to my family/close friends and people who are sincere about their music! I am an extremely sensitive person and am not afraid/ashamed to shed a tear when i feel the need to. In fact this nature of mine has helped me remain conscious of what i can do and what i cannot and has contributed a lot to my being a genuine person. I feel very deeply about social issues concering poverty, disbility, issues relating to women & children. Have a burning ambition therefore to do my little bit to help see a smile on the faces of impoverished/disabled women & children. I am leaving the men out not because i don't care about them, but because i believe that there aren't many on this earth who think about the state of affairs of women and children who i believe most of the times, get a raw deal with life. I love nature and feel passionate about the environment. I am extremely socially conscious and never the one to jump a traffic signal or throw waste material on the road etc. I truly believe that if more of us are disciplined about these simple things, what a more organised world we would be living in. Last but not the least, I am proud to be an Indian and will do my best to make my country proud. I look forward to making good & serious friendships. *************************************************** Events/News.... March 2007 Iron Maiden Rocks!! and Rocks big time!!! I have been a Maiden fan since my class X and its been 17 years since and they are still my best band. I was fortunate to be one among the thousand die hard fans who witnessed Maiden perform live at Bangalore on 17th March 2007 and what a show that was!!! The band played to perfection, it was almost like hearing studio material. The stage and Eddie walking around was fabulous. Biggest disappointment though was they played only for 90 mins. The highlight of the show was Bruce dedicating "Wrathchild" to the Late Leon Ireland of Moksha and off course the "Fear of the Dark" song that was sung by 25,000 people in one voice with the band. Up the Irons always, until their next gig hopefully in a year's time as Bruce promised the crowd that day at Blore... June 2007 Aerosmith wowed Bangalore and me on the 2nd of June'07. The show was not without its disappointment. The band started playing at 8:15 pm when the scheduled time was 7 pm. But then they played for more than 2 hours, more than Maiden played at the same venue in March'07. And the crowd was bigger than that for Maiden, more womenfolk, given Tyler's and Perry's popularity with them... "Dream on" was my favourite apart from that Guitar solo that Perry played on the ramp amidst the crowd till the very end of that piece when sparks flew from his guitar. Then there was that other amazing thing the band did, Perry getting his guitar played by the drummer. And all along the 2 hours show, Mr.Tyler was up to his usual gimmicks - those pelvic gyrations and those close encounters with the women on the stage. Well all in all, it was a great show (but not as great as the Maiden show was :)) and was another dream come true for me. Sign in to be able to view horizonmusic's guestbook and friends list!
