Throughout his life and career as an attorney and business executive, Jared Bartie has maintained involvement in a vast array of professional, personal, and charitable activities. A native of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Jared Bartie graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and rose to prominence as a scholar and student athlete basketball player. After high school, Jared Bartie relocated to Washington, D.C., to attend American University, where he majored in Law and Society. A beneficiary of the American University Frederick Douglass Scholarship, Jared Bartie excelled in his collegiate studies and, following graduation in 1990, was accepted to attend Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. After earning a J.D. in 1993, Jared Bartie entered the legal profession as an associate for New York-based Proskauer Rose LLP. During this time with Proskauer, Jared Bartie gained firsthand experience in the fields of sports and entertainment law – his legal specialization for more than 15 years. Jared Bartie’s career highlights include serving as Associate General Counsel and Acting Chief Counsel for Black Entertainment Television; Vice President of Legal Affairs for the XFL; Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE); General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for the United States Tennis Association (USTA); Vice President of Marketing and Team Business Operations at the National Basketball Association; and General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer for the Charlotte Bobcats. Jared Bartie most recently held the role of Executive Vice President and General Counsel for WWE. Recognized for his contributions to the community, Jared Bartie is a supporter of the United Negro College Fund, the National Urban League, and the NAACP. Jared has served as Co-Chair of the African-American Leadership Initiative for the United Way of the Central Carolinas and on the Host Committee of the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund Dinner (Charlotte). Jared Bartie is also a past recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Award, which was bestowed upon him by the Cambridge, MA chapter of the NAACP. Jared Bartie currently serves on the Law Board for Northwestern University School of Law.
