An Open Future
Nothing is more important than developing the ability to learn and understand new things that enable you to change. If you can change your future is open. If you are incapable of change your future is closed.
This raises an old question, "To be or not to be." You choose which, if you have the courage.
Building an Open Future - A Ryze Network for constructing tomorrows options.
I have a weblog on this topic "Open Future"

Business
My present business "Open Future Limited" is new. I'm working once again on the cutting edge of change. How do businesses manage knowledge? How do we find ways to effectively use the new Internet tools to enable innovation and collaboration, so our businesses can adapt successfully? This fits very well into a place like Ryze where I have learned a great deal. Ryze provides the possibility of many relatively weak links: on Ryze they are called "friends". You need in addition, membership of at least one small group, a closed group, that is much more strongly connected. You also need several sources of "rich data" places that nourish you with fresh ideas. Some Ryze networks do that, many don't. All that plus the ability to work on the process of changing yourself and changing your business, and an "Open Future" is yours. My business proposal, is in this letter.
I run an Innovation Network on Ryze. You may care to join. Innovation is the name we give to the changes we have invented for ourselves. If you have a need in this area, why don't you drop me a line?
We are all faced with the prospect of re-inventing ourselves and reinventing our businesses too. That's what a CEO does. He/she carries the responsibility for re-inventing the business.
Internet Pioneer
I've developed a particular interest in helping people become internet literate. My new work for newbies is gaining wide readership. See my Newbies Step by Step Blog.
Social Networks
If you are like most people, not 100% comfortable on the Internet, here is the quick version of getting started on Ryze. "First Steps on Ryze"
Ryze has now opened your Guestbook by default, a long overdue change. If as a result you get MLM spam, email Ryze Support immediately.
Join LOTS of networks. That's how people get to find you.
Don't make your page "PRIVATE" unless there's nothing on it yet. If you want people to see your page is should be "PUBLIC".
If you are fairly new to Ryze, there is a longer essay on Joining a Social Network like Ryze or Xing particularly focused on Ryze, that readers tell me is very helpful.
There is an essay to help people who are beyond the beginner stage make the best use of Free Access On Ryze in the Step By Step Blog.
Finally there is a long essay to help people who are Gold or Platinum Members of Ryze.
Both the following statements are valid
"These things I believe make my life relevant and useful, they give me
a place in a real community and they confirm who I am. These beliefs control
both what I know, and what it's possible for me to learn."
"These things I believe make me blind to reality, they force me to perform foolish and irrelevant rituals that I'd be better off without, these beliefs trap me in the past and prevent me from achieving my potential."
The old question reappears, "To be or not to be."
I encourage you to join my Ryze Network. It's a group of interesting people with a focus on Innovation. Please feel free to join the Veech Innovation Network.

John
