Corvalence is a company I started in 2002 to develop and bring to market a number of products in the Office Supply industry. Here are a few of the products I designed and manufactured:

Below is the model I developed to assess how the risk of continuing to develop a concept compares to your own (or your company's) risk profile. If your own assessment of the project's risk does not fall within the gray area at any point of development, you should not continue to invest in it. Everyone's (and every company's) risk profile (top line) is different.

The bottom diagram describes how a developer/inventor could make a decision on how to be compensated for their time. If the project has high potential earlier in the development process, you still want to be compensated in a low risk manner (i.e. hourly fee). If the project's risk is lowering as development continues and the project has a high potential to return in a substantial manner, you could weigh the compensation heavier on the royalties. I would be happy to discuss this model in detail if you are interested.

I was recently consulting for Cisco Systems. My expertises include business process re-engineering (BPR), application specifications (BRD's, PRD's) and communication plans.
I also consult for smaller companies to assist in developing their products. Recently, I developed a water purification system that does not require any consumable elements. It generates the most pure water at the least cost.

I am also working on an improved form of solar collection. This concept is based on a system called a "Heliostat". When mass-produced it will allow acres of land to be carpeted with autonomously managed mirror systems that concentrate light onto a single spot. These systems have been in existence for years, but the innovation I've been developing will drastically reduce the costs so that more area can be transformed into a means to harvest the sun.

Below is my consulting resume:

For over 11 years I have brought concepts to market in both the consumer goods and high tech industries. I’ve designed and engineered over 40 high tech, medical and consumer products, and has managed the development of hosted software offerings in security, ecommerce, payment processing and supply chain services. My education consists of an MBA (with a marketing concentration), a Masters in Engineering Management (MEM), and a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design (BID). With my experience and training in engineering, product design, operations and marketing, I bring a broad knowledge base to any development project.

I’ve consulted or worked for the following companies: Intel, Disney, Lockheed Martin, Loral Space Systems, Tencor, Stryker Endoscopy, HP, Teledyne, Omnisky and Infoseek. I was also a founding member and product manager for Pandesic - an Intel-SAP joint venture providing one of the first hosted ecommerce platforms. Recently, I was the Director of Product Management and a founding member of E2open – a hosted supply chain communications hub initiated by a consortium including IBM, Lucent, Nortel, Seagate, Solectron, Hitachi, Acer, Matsushita Electric, Toshiba, and LG Electronics.
