 People say that you go
through a mid life crisis when you turn 40 as I am about to. As long it doesn't involve divorce, pain or
misery then l am willing take it on with great fun!
My husband Ian and I have been together for 16 happy years. He is a builder by trade and we have
built 2 houses together: He designs the house, I design and decorate the interior and it works out very
well. He's had me up ladders and onto roofs - not very lady-like, I know. :) It's hard work but well worth it!
When not building or working, we enjoy long walking weekends with our black lab, Tilly, who is
definitely the baby of the family. We also love our holidays abroad in the sun. Because we are so busy
at work, we just lay, sleep and drink in the lovely hot weather and relax with a good book. Heaven.
My daughter Becki is almost 19. She's very sociable and works with me in our business in addition
to studying to become a childcare worker. My son Scott will be 17 in September and he's off to college
for 2 years to study carpentry. He should enjoy it since as a child he always wanted to bang and nail
things together, even my dining room chairs! His dream is to become a firefighter, but he has to wait a
few more years, so we're glad he's taking a trade in the meantime.
