About Me


My name is Kelli Claypool. I am the wife of a wonderful husband who is my hero and inspiration. He encourages me to be the best that I can be and is comforting when I stumble. I am the luckiest gal in world to have a man like him! I am also a proud mom of three kids; two teenage girls (19 & 15) and a 10-year-old son. I am a hands-on mom. My family is my life and everything that I do centers around them.

I am very active in my church, son's school, and in the community. I am currently the PTA President of my son's school as well as the coordinator of Teacher's Appreciation. I attend Vision of Faith Victory Center (www.vofvc.org) for which I am very active.

My family and I have a 30 acre farm in the mountains of Kentucky which we purchased last year. It's not a working farm as of yet, but I'm sure we'll either raise or grow something on the farm. I am a HUGE cow fanatic, so I'm sure we'll have some PET cows -- you know the kind that will NOT be eaten!! There is plenty of wildlife, which I find absolutely gorgeous. I get so excited when I see the deer or wild turkeys. Oh, the bunnies are very plentiful too! It is simply beautiful God's country. We love it!

The Florida Real Estate market is on a down swing at this time. Between the increased insurance rates and property tax, it has been more difficult to approve some buyers for home loans. I have never been a fan of the adjustable rate mortgage, so I haven't written many. If a buyer couldn't qualify for a loan at the going rate, then they weren't ready to purchase a home. The foreclosure rate is on the rise and it's unfortunate as I see many first time home buyers losing their homes. It is my mission to keep as many folks in their homes by counseling them and putting them on a budget prior to them getting into trouble with their mortgages. So far it's worked out pretty well.

Mom Of Praise is a safe place where moms can go to get encouraged and uplifted. A place to create friendships with other moms and share about various situations that they are going through at that particular time.



I feel the Lord laid it upon my heart to form this ministry after my divorce 10+ years ago. After a daunting child custody battle, my daughters were ordered to live with their father mainly due to financial reasons. He made the most money. Well, this was a complete and total shock to me. I was devastated! I was embarrassed because I didn’t want people to think that I was a “bad” parent and that’s why I didn’t get residential custody of my girls. Well, after that time, I found more and more moms not getting residential custody of their children for one reason or another and not because of abuse or anything harmful to the kids. I believe there is a need to minister to moms and to let them know that no matter what they are going through, they are not alone!



Currently, Mom Of Praise is going in many different directions. However, one thing that I am working on now is material for moms who find themselves having to go into the workplace and realize that they do not have the skills to offer an employer. A quick example, during my first marriage, I was a work-at-home-mom in which I did medical transcription. After my divorce, I found myself having to work outside the home and found that I longer had the skills employers were looking for. Yes, my typing speed was incredible and I could take shorthand, but I didn’t know anything about Power Point, Excel, etc. Because of this, I took classes in order to be a value to an employer. So, in the very near future, I will be providing mini-courses in various office applications in order to equip moms to be a value to future employers. Not only are we moms, but we are Christian moms therefore we need to be women of excellence. So, I will have courses on etiquette, proper dress, and more in addition to office applications.



Our site is made especially for Moms of all ages, shapes, sizes, cultures, and traditions. That means Grandmom's too! My prayer is that you will find laughter, encouragement, and friendships here. While this site is a Faith-Based Christian site, all faiths and religions are welcomed. This is not a site for judgment or offending others. We have one common thread and that is we are all mothers. We are Beautifully and Wonderfully made. We are more precious than diamonds, rubies, and pearls. Our children will rise up and call us "blessed". Therefore, be proud that you are a MOP... Mom Of Praise!
