Founder of Leaders In Furthering Education (LIFE) and The Lois Pope LIFE Foundation, Inc., Lois Pope has focused her efforts and resources on enhancing people’s lives. Dedicated to numerous causes, Lois Pope initiates programs through her foundations in support of medical research, veterans with disabilities, and youth from families with low incomes.
Lois Pope recognized the need to assist children lacking means and guided LIFE to raise funds for alternative activities to keep youth occupied during summers. Over the course of 16 years, LIFE funded summer camp experiences for more than 15,000 children. Ms. Pope’s charity extended opportunities to disadvantaged children as well as those with special needs.
Under Lois Pope’s guidance and leadership, LIFE has established numerous programs and projects around the world to help people. Current projects include a memorial for disabled American veterans and the establishment of the world’s leading neurological research center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
