Notes of Intere$t: Old Books are also one of the best medium to long term financial investments you can make as they have recently grown in value often above bank interest rates by an extra 5% pa (variable). A leather book sold by us in 1993 for £8-10 for example now 10 years later sell for up to £30. Books are probably one of the best investments that you can make in more ways than one. The value of books for investment is only now becoming apparent to more individuals as we move more into the electronic age. Leather books become more and more difficult to find as they have not been routinely produced 'en masse' since the 1930's. Scarcity brings value and the wisdom of the ages is still held most potently in the pages of an old forgotten book. Its material and historical value increase more significantly than many of the usual investment choices. Certainly better than many a pension fund and a lot more pleasure to read!!! Current Exchange rate is 1.8694 so 30 pounds is USD 56.08 JP McBooks current Antiquarian Book Special for beginning investment collector can be found HERE!!
