I've been in the freelance writing business for more or less, give and take, a decade and if one's been doing the same thing for a sufficient number of years, it's only reasonable to expect that person to be reasonably good at that thing. So, I suppose, yes, I think I have become a sufficiently efficient, if not good, freelance writer.
But on top of being a freelance writer, I've also learned so many other things along the way. For instance....

It's something that I've always wanted to do but it dawned on me to pick it up when every client I write advertisement copy for come to me and ask, "Do you know graphic design?" or "Can you connect me with a desktop publisher?". I thought, "Oh hell...why not?" and I picked it up and tied it up with my advertisement copywriting work. So, today, not only do I write your copy for you, I give you a complete package!
search engine optimization of web pages
It was a blessing that I was engaged as the online marketing and search engine specialist for two dot BOMBS at a time when search engine marketing was fairly new. I picked it up just when everyone was still geared on placing expensive advertisements in magazines and newspapers. Today, I help optimize websites for search engine marketing purposes.
social networking and internet marketing

This is a little different from seo article writing because seo article writing requires very little thinking and skill. Web content writing is a little bit more demanding in that sense because I have to fully comprehend the business aspect of each client that engage my writing services. I have to step, literally, into their shoes and write for them the way they would want me to write.
