Who am I? I was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone in 1963 to a Maltese/Italian mother, and a Sierra Leonean/Gambian father, and have lived in the UK since the age of seven. I’m a network designer ‘by trade’ and have spent 20 years designing and delivering real-time solutions in financial services, telecoms, media and travel for blue chip companies. I’ve led Ecademy's community consulting practice since 2001. I'm in transition right now! What do I do? Practice dialogue marketing – the art of communicating with stakeholders using social software and online communities. Expertise: The ability to creatively form and concisely answer strategic questions in the social software industry, and translate them into live implementations. Passion: connecting people in ways that create disproportionate value and catalyze completely new kinds of relationships. What interests me? Social software, network societies, new organisational forms, the future of work, and technology. You can get an idea by looking at my del.icio.us bookmarks. My work ethos "Winning by Sharing" is for those for whom the internet has caused a profound change in attitude towards work and the realisation that a ‘career’ has ceased to be a feasible way to organise working life. I now view work as an instrument of self-development and personal autonomy and entrepreneurship not as a status symbol, but as an attitude – an attitude that everyone is going to need. For a great example of winning by sharing, see:
