If you are looking for someone who is madness personified, has a really weird sense of humor, has two left feet and cant sing to save his life, who is crazy about the Arsenal Football Club and actually garlands the poster of Theirry Henry during Saraswati Puja, with an obnoxious tongue, reeking with sarcasm of the highest level, who wishes that the day had 26 hours instead of 24 to have an hour extra of fun and an hour more of sleep, who at the age of 22 still counts Phantom, Tintin and Asterix as his favorite reads, about to embark into five years of intellectual imprisonment in the US of A, whose favorite past time, apart from watching Friends and the English Premier League, is a state of utter, downright, pathetic overindulgence in dangerous levels of joblessness............................................then It just proves how jobless YOU are!!! :)) On a more serious note.............. I am what every Indian would label the quinessential Tam Brahm with heavy doses of Bengali culture which leaves behind serious doubts as to the authenticity of my ethnicity. I am from a family of four comprising my wonderful Mom and Dad and a "dream-come-true" Brother, Arvind, currently working in the US, who is more like a guide and friend than the conventional brother. I was born and brought up in the pristine(people do tend to contest this description!!) city of Kolkata and passed out of the St.Xavier's Collegiate School. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Insitute of Technology, Atlanta......so five years from now...I hope to have a certain prefix to malign my name. Apart from being a "nerd", I have represented Anna University in cricket and football, where I am an opening batsmen and midfielder respectively. My other passions include badminton, table tennis, coin collecting, reading......My all time fav. book just has to be "The Origin", which is the biography of Charles Darwin, by Irving Stone, followed by "The Agony and Ecstacy-Biography of Michelangelo Buonarroti" by the same author and of course the Tolkien series coming in a close second. Music....I like any kind of music that leaves my hammer, anvil and stirrup in place....meaning no heavy, head banging stuff.....soft soothing music that just lets the emotions flow out. My fav. are Strings, Bryan Adams, Ronan Keating, Creed, Tatu,Rasmus, Bon Jovi, U2, David Gray,Strings, Euphoria, any A.R.Rehman song, Fuzon, Colonia cousins and of course.....my all time favs., Micheal Learns to Rock, Kishore, Rafi and Mukesh. Also like listening to Bengali music, esp ones sung by Debabrata Majumdar. Movies I love include A Beautiful Mind, Anand, Sholay, Pearl Harbor, Replikate, Chhoti Si Baat, Kashmir ki Kali, Phone Booth, Gladiator. Phew-Did anybody get till here???
