Having arrived in the states almost 25 years ago now (1979) I have now officially spent most of that time in one place: Cleveland, Ohio. While fondly remembering my earlier residencies in New Orleans and Boston, Cleveland has firmly established itself as my home.

Occasionally though this city has been a tough mistress. After 4 short but sweet years my my first employer, Revco, D.S. is bought by CVS. This leads me to my first CIO job at a small niche financial services company called DMAC. After 2.5 years there, its investors decide that their return on investment horizon is too distant and sell the company. But now I get a chance to work at NetGenics, the high-flying, high-intensity BioTech poster child of Cleveland. Guess what? It too folds.

So ever since early 2001 I have been hanging out my own shingle under the name PBnJ Solutions. At least if I loose this job, I have no one to blame but myself.

Aof this time I have been accompanied by my wife Beth and more recently my two daughters. Thanks to them I get a good share of the above-mentioned questions and for the occasional answers you guys give me: Thanks!
