My
wife and I moved to Hartwell, GA just a few years ago (after living
all of my life in Atlanta) to help take care of my parents, who also
recently moved to Hartwell. My mother was suffering from Altzheimers.
She passed away this past year in September 2007.
Living
in Hartwell is very different from life in Atlanta, expecially when
it comes to getting around town. We live in a house on Lake Hartwell,
and yet we are only two miles from downtown. The Super Wal-Mart is three
miles from our house, and First Baptist Church of Hartwell (where we
attend) is only four miles away. My job is on the computer, so I only
have about 60 steps to get to work every morning.
I
play the trumpet in church every week. I started playing the trumpet
when I was 8 years old. I played in the East Atlanta Elementary Band
and then at South West Dekalb High School. Our high school band toured
Europe in 1970. (We actually only played a couple of times in three
weeks, but it was a lot of fun.) We won the Virginia Beach Music Festival
in 1972 and we went back as the Honor Band in 1973. I had high hopes
of being a professional trumpet player and went to Georgia State University
for a year. However, my life got turned around (in the wrong direction),
my playing got worse instead of better, and I gave up.
After
a couple of years wasting my life, I was invited to First Baptist Church
of Atlanta. I heard Dr. Stanley preach and I heard the orchestra play,
and I knew that I needed to be there. After attending for several weeks,
I was finally ready to turn my life back over to God and receive His
forgiveness. The toughest part was forgiving myself for walking away
from Him in the first place. After several more weeks, I picked up my
trumpet and joined the orchestra. The director heard me play and within
a few minutes, he helped me correct a couple of things that I was doing
wrong so that I could enjoy playing again.
I
played in the orchestra at First Baptist Church of Atlanta for over
twenty years. I also played at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta for
a couple of years, and then at First Redeemer Church in Cumming for
a couple of years. All were fairly large churches, so coming to Hartwell
was little bit of a culture shock. My niece came to visit and commented
that Hartwell was sort of like Mayberry. Everybody waves to you as you
go down the street, and everybody knows everybody's business.
Over
the years, I have been involved with quite a number of "business
opportunities" that seldom lasted very long. On many occassions,
they were "ground floor" opportunities, and whether they were
poorly financed or just poorly managed, they usually fell apart before
much time had passed. For this reason and the fact that everybody knows
everybody's business in Hartwell, my wife wanted me to steer clear of
all network marketing... so I did... until...
In
February 2007, a friend asked me to take a look at a website, and even
though I didn't plan to get involved, I took a good, long look... and
I liked what I saw. However, I had told my wife that I wouldn't, so...

I
showed Donna the products on the Isagenix website, and she said "I
would like to try this 9-Day Cleanse. Would you do it with me?"...
and I said "Sure!" We had both known about cleansing to get
rid of the toxins from your body, but we didn't realize that it had
so much to do with losing weight. We also didn't realize at the time
that this was more than just a colon cleanse... it was cleanse from
the cellular level.
When we had only completed just two days of the cleanse, Donna and I
were already noticing a difference and were excited about how we felt.
After completing the 9-day cleanse, Donna had lost 12 pounds and I had
lost 10*. We continued with the meal replacement shakes and my waist
went down two inches. After 6 weeks, Donna had lost 20 pounds and I
had lost 15. After several weeks, I had lost 25 pounds and 5 inches
in my waist. Donna lost 30 pounds.

This
is a simple program that really costs you nothing. Yes, I said nothing...
and I don't mean that you have to sponsor so many people to get your
products free. You see.. the wholesale price of the 9-day cleanse is
$125 plus tax and shipping. You will have enough product to cover 26
meals, so, your cost per meal is less than $5.50. Of course, your other
choice is to spend the same amount of money at fast food restaurants
and then feel hungry two hours later.
What
have you got to lose... or should I say How much do you have to lose?
