So who are you and what are/were you doing in England?
Readily the most popular question asked: Grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, became a software developer/engineer, moved to San Fran for an advanced degree, spent time doing dot.coms becoming more technology/marketing focused, went on a vacation in Europe, became the CTO for a successful online recuritment company (thehotgroup.com), got headhunted into the telecoms industry to manage the development of high-end network/IP products for a London-based, pan-European telco. After it went toe-to-toe with its major supplier and lost, built Rawlings Atlantic focusing on product strategy for technology and service-oriented businesses in Europe and North America. Became politically inclined through a chance conversation in London and applied my technology and online community skills to online campaign strategies for various Democratic candidates (e.g. John Kerry for President, Peter Deutsch for US Senate, and Rod Smith for Florida Governor).
Formed Rawlings Atlantic US and Rawlings Political to work with large firms, start-ups and political/non-profits forcusing the financial benefits of the emergence of online communities, social media and user-generated content to strengthen customer relationships and improve return on marketing spend.
