As a hypnotherapist and vocal/performance coach, my passion lies in dissolving obstacles, unravelling knots, transcending fears, refining your true voice and alchemizing pain into strength.

My practice, Optimal Mindset Hypnotherapy, blends Kappasinian and Ericksonian hypnotic methods, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Therapeutic Imagery, Sports Psychology and the Psychology of Optimal Experience to create unique paths and strategies for personal and professional success.

Carmen De Jesus is a member of the American Hypnosis Association and the Hypnotherapists Union AFL-CIO Local 472 with continuing education and certifications in Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Timeline Therapy from the nation's first accredited school of hypnosis - the Hypnosis Motivation Institute.

Carmen holds a bachelor of arts in Legal Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz. In addition, she has studied vocal technique with Jodi Sellards, Michael Goodrich and Seth Riggs. Her musical theatre credits include West Side Story (Maria) and the original Canadian company of Miss Saigon (Kim). Her artistic journey has led her through various careers, including; studio/session work for pop music, tv specials, radio voice-overs and commercial jingles in the Philippines; a career creating global marketing strategies as an advertising account supervisor with J. Walter Thompson (high tech clients included Cisco Systems, Intel Corporation and Hewlett Packard); a vocal teacher and production consultant.

Carmen speaks fluent French and Tagalog, conversational Italian and Spanish, is currently improving her skills with Japanese and welcomes the opportunity to practice any of these. She was born in San Francisco, CA, and raised in Northridge, CA, and has lived in Toronto, Paris, France and in Manila and has spent the past 10 years in Santa Cruz, Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco, CA.
