Hi Old Monk Addicts. People with taste. Those who appreciate the 'Scotch' of Rums. The beautiful brown liquid in a unique square bottle that sets it apart from any other booze in the world. A Rum that has the largest market share in India without advertising.
I know a lot of NRI's who do not care for parcels of Halwa and Pickles from India. They want bottles of Old Monk Rum.
To Qualify:
You must be over 25 years(as per Govt.of India regulations) of age (mentally and physically) and your yearly consumption of Old Monk should be above 70% of your booze intake.
Disqualification:
Anyone who enters this network and is not an Old Monk fan will be sentenced to drink 5 neat pegs of Old Monk. So please do not be caught cheating
Ways to Drink the Rum:
You can enjoy it with -- a)Cola & Soda (Moderator's favourite) b)Water (Vice Moderator's favourite) c) Soda d) Water & Soda e) Cola f) Planter's Punch and many other combinations too.
Some may add ice, some add a slice of lime. Any which way, it goes down well.
Beware:
There is a lot of spurious stuff going around. So be careful where you buy your stuff. Put your nose to the open bottle. Sniff the Rum. If your nostrils get a burning sensation, that's the good stuff. If you get a sweet smell with no burning sensation then it is bad stuuf. Those who know their Rums kindly post the names of the shops selling the good stuff.

We have a RumMixxa every 2 months where Old Monk Rum and good food is served. So that we can enjoy the good stuff in good company.
