I am new to this network, but would like to share what I have done recently to help myself feel better all around. I have been reading up a lot on this thing called Law of Attraction. The basic idea is that your thoughts have a measurable frequency, and attract to it things to keep your mind producing that frequency of thought.
So basically, if you think positive thoughts, you will have positive life experiences, and so on. It goes so far as to say even that if you think about one thing specifically, you will attract that thing to come into your life.
I know this all sounds wacky, but it has at the very least taught me how to keep a positive mind-set even when things don't seem to be going so well. I got my start with a movie called "The Secret", then I found this website which explains it very well, and links to many sources.

I’m feeling much better today, after passing through many sad days, caring about my father’s funeral and many problems concerning his properties. I’m going to meet my friends tonight, and more friends tomorrow.

You can only eliminate anger with humor if you are not a victim of terror, and your problem is not very serious. Your purpose should always be to avoid a fight or suffering only because an inferior person did something wrong that caused many problems or only because someone offended you.
This method of therapy against anger works for most common cases of your daily life and it helps a lot! Instead of becoming nervous with the other person’s behaviour or their actions, you make fun of the situation or what they are saying.
For example, your wife/husband, son, or friend gives you an order demanding many unreasonable things that will require many efforts and time. Instead of becoming nervous with their request, ask them if they want “something else!” This is a known ironic answer but you can improve it by asking if the person wants their absurd demands served in a dish.
Did someone steal your reserved parking spot? Has someone left trash outside the can and causing a stink? Did someone break your favorite cup? Never mind! Let it be. Learn to relax and accept what is happening without losing your temper.
Humor! Make fun of the negative situation. Try to justify what happened as if it was preventing you from making a mistake. Now you cannot park your car in the same place and the thief who wanted to steal it cannot find it. Perhaps you are lucky because only your parking place was stolen, not your car.
Is your neighbour an indifferent person? Keep the neighbourhood clean on his behalf and do it with humor, without complaining, but considering yourself a big hero who solves the problems caused by others without fighting and creating worse problems.
Go buy a new cup for you, because a new cup has the symbolic meaning of a new time in your life. Something different in your routine may help you feel better!
Give good explanations for whatever happens to you, justify people’s actions or simply make fun of what is wrong because nothing should be able to eliminate your good disposition and courage.
On the other hand, your good disposition and intelligence will easily eliminate your anger and nervousness in all situations.
This way, you will always be fine and happy and give wise lessons to many people!

Be a poet and you’ll find ways to transform the routine, its shadows and its emptiness in moments you’ll desire to remember.
Be a thinking mind that observes everything from a distance yet understands the meaning because it has a global vision of all the tiny aspects, all together.
The emptiness is sad, invisible, heavy and fat. It has an empty mind and empty hands. It is too non-existent and too real.
Wish it was concrete! But emptiness is the result of an inner conflict. It is only the absence of meaning and joy. It has no color, no life and no form. It is the hole, the repetitive aspect of the most ridiculous movements; the movements of an animal on a wild planet, where civilization is more dangerous than the dense and dark forest.
How can you feel better when you are in despair? Suffering without hope? Dying without salvation? Holding, answering, opening, closing, walking, talking, working, but sad, sick, tired, afraid… everything… every day?
You need a miracle.
Be a philosopher, though.
Talk, feel, look for, go… do some research. Somewhere you’ll find a bright answer, full of wisdom and light. It might help you for good.
Be a Robin Hood.
Be a hero that doesn’t exist.
Be an artist, not a clown.
Be a realist.
In the end your despair will leave the present moment and become past and dust. It is not something that lasts forever.
Tomorrow you may even smile.
And, who knows?
Perhaps a beautiful meaning may fill the emptiness with many colors, wiping out horrors and sorrows.
Don’t lose hope!
Hope is the unique star you can follow and the unique light you can see when you are blind.
