Hello -
I joined this group several months ago, and I don't think I ever introduced myself. I am an American working on a short-term small business economic development assignment in Bulgaria.
So, the question "To create a better world, what is most important?"
HA! Well, it certainly isn't traditional international development models.
To create a better world, we need:
- Basic needs met (food, water, shelter, security)
- Freedom from fear...this comes in all forms...including even fear of freedom. Responsibility for one's own life can be a scary thing!
- Wider access to opportunity and information
- Basic education to understand how to take advantage of opportunity and use information
That's my opinion anyways...
