Hi..

Its great to read different viewpoints converging to the our wireless future. As Bhavnik says, I do agree that we can expect more rate cuts in std and roaming. Looking one step ahead, it could also reach a point where there would be no STD at all.. I do feel strongly that this may not be too far if regulators allow. A local call anywhere in India!!!

As with respect to VAS, categorization is very important. but I believe that m-commerce would belong to every category, the housewife; corporates and students; etc.

What matters more in the success of m-commerce is the willingness of people to participate. This would not be much of a concern if costs and availability factors are addressed. It may still take some time for it to become a success but rest assured, it will be a success. It is likely to follow the pattern of e-commerce but will be much faster and widespread.

With respect to Wi-Max, it is a technology waiting to take the developing nations by storm. Since Intel is pushing it in a huge way, and the Indian government also favoring it(recently Wi-Max was being used to link remote places in Kerala), I feel its again just a matter of time.

The next 3 - 4 years are very crucial for india in this front. Lets hope we can convert this mobile revolution into a highly successful one.

Jitesh
