DURATION OF MBA PROGRAMME

Students are required to complete the MBA degree requirements within five years of being accepted into a degree programme. Individual programme durations depend on the number of subjects taken and the length of a student's breaks. The shortest timeframe in which a student can complete this programme is twenty months, if they take three subjects per quarter.

Subjects are offered through the Internet, and the emphasis is on active engagement through interactive exercises, integrated communication-rich learning, and frequent self assessment. Active web-based communication tools such as email, real-time Internet chat, public folders and threaded discussions are employed. These activities also contribute to the creation of an international community of students, teachers and expert practitioners.

ACTIVE FACULTY FACILITATION
Highly qualified instructors maintain pro-active communication with their students throughout each subject, including continuous monitoring, prompt response, guidance in problem-solving and assessment of student performance.

FOCUS ON GLOBAL CONTEXT AND EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONS
The degree subjects have a truly international focus, with many examples and cases drawn from business environments in a variety of regions across the globe.

EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING QUALITY
Universitas 21 Global has developed a carefully designed and fully integrated instructional methodology in the online environment. Instructors with experience at distinguished institutions in many regions of the world are appointed to teach Universitas 21 Global subjects.

Each Universitas 21 Global subject is presented in a series of segments, each an intellectually coherent unit with clearly stated objectives and a well?defined beginning, middle and end. Student engagement will be enhanced through the use of individual and team?based interactive exercises. An Adjunct Faculty member with a PhD in the subject and relevant teaching experience will be assigned as ‘instructor’ to the students and will serve as an advisor/mentor/examiner during the learning period.

SUBJECT WORK LOAD
Active communication with other students will be encouraged through use of email, chat, public folders, threaded discussions and other web?based communications tools, often in connection with collaborative problem solving in small teams. Where appropriate, students may be encouraged also to engage in off?line activities which incorporate their personal, professional and social experiences, increasing the student's ability to apply his or her learning to his or her particular circumstances.


The final segment of each subject will provide a carefully designed concluding experience. Students will complete an assessment exercise, review the stated objectives of the subject and receive an evaluation from the instructor concerning their success in achieving them, and will be reminded of opportunities for continuing study in other subjects related to their current one. An invigilated examination also will be required.


Subjects are designed to require 120 to 140 hours of learning activity.
