Terri Bartos
Try Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Felton - the Picnic grounds entrance. There are a couple of easy to moderate hikes I like.

Easy - You can park outside the park and walk in via the Meadow Trail and continue on to the Creek Trail. On your way back, don't miss the Old Grove loop.

Moderate - There's also Pipeline Road that starts near the Old Grove loop that is a very steep incline for a bit, but you are rewarding with a fantastic view of the San Lorenzo River valley from Felton to Santa Cruz, with glimpses of the Boardwalk. This is a paved road, so is nice when it's all muddy and wet on the other trails.

Have fun!
