Hi Sheel, In the east San Jose area you can go east and head to the Mt Hamilton area. There are trails I believe get you up pretty high and long. Check out www.parkhere.org for the Santa Clara park system. It shows all the parks and all the trails on each park, not too clear though. It is worth checking out.
cheers,

All I can say is get an early start, when I did the hike the last bus back to the parking lot left the trail head at 7PM. If you miis the bus it is a mile back to the parking lot. If its a nice day you may want to spend some time at the Emerald Pool real pretty and relaxing area. No ropes at the top so watch the edge : ) > >Go climb a rock. >Bill > >> sheel desai wrote: >> Hi, >>I am new to the group and I have a qu. We are going to do Halfdome hike in 2 weeks..we want to do long hikes before that. We already did stinson beach 7 miles hike to mt. Tam. But it was moderate. Can anyone suggest anyother longer hike say 9-10 miles with some elavation in the bay area? >>I would really appreciate any help. Also if you have any other suggestions for halfdome hike..that would be great too. >> >>Thanks >>Sheel >> Private Reply to Steve Stierwalt (new win) |
