Hi Sheel,

I've done an 11.5ish hike in Almaden QuickSilver County Park. I started at the Webb Canyon entrance and went around the New Almaden trail, eventually got up on the Castilero trail, and on the Mine Hill trail. Came back around to New Almaden and back out. For easier access to the park you could start at the Mockingbird Hill Lane entrance. Lots of up and down and you can take some side trails if you want more elevation gain.

At Uvas Canyon County Park you can do a 3 separate hikes and get in the 10-12 mile range. Knibbs Knob is about 1.7 each way, although it's all up or all down. Fairly steep IMO. The Contour trail is should get you another 4-5 miles, and pick another one (Triple Falls I think) can get you another 3 miles.

Rancho San Antonio has a lot of trails that you can get a good 8-12 mile loop in, although I've only been there once, so my memory might be failing me.

There's a 10-12 miler to Berry Creek Falls and back. It's in Big Basin Redwoods State Park.

Calero County park I've done an 8 mile loop, wasn't too strenous, but if I had gone the other way it may have been more so (steeper uphills).

If you want some serious up, head up the Priest Rock Trail (believe it starts in Lexington Resevior county park, or St. Joseph's hill Open space) and go up into Sierra Azul.

Someone already posted the parkhere.org and if you can print out the maps so you can plan the route you want accordingly. You can also check out the Mid Penisula Open Space District and see what maps they have avaiable (not the best, if you had more time I'd suggest e-mailing them for their printed maps).
