Dean Chen		Destination: Point Lobos State Reserve, near Carmel. Time: 9:45 AM to 5 PM, Saturday, 09/25/04. Gathering location: Outside the front door of Nordstom Rack, 1600 Saratoga Ave., Westgate Mall, San Jose. Nordstrom Rack is at the northeast end of the Mall. Organizer: Chinese Professional Fellowship (CPF). Everyone is welcomed. Degree of Scenic Beauty: 9 at scale of 10. Hike along the seashore. Degree of Difficulty: 2 at scale of 5, 5 miles. Things to bring: Water, lunch, snack food, long pants, outerwear to shield cold ocean wind, hat, suntan lotion (You will be exposed to the sun half of the time), sturdy shoes. If you have binocular, please bring it and you may see sea lion or sea otter. Cost: Each passenger is recommended to share $7 for gas mile. If you elect to park the car inside the park instead of road side parking, please share the additional drive-in fee. The drive-in fee is $6 per car. Plan: Gather at 9:45 AM. Carpool. Departs from Westgate at 10 AM. Arrive the park entrance at 11:45 AM. Gather again beside the fee collection entrance station. Starts to hike at Noon. Lunch at 12:30 PM to 1PM. Hike along the shore. We may go to the sand beach. Loop back to the park entrance at 3 PM. Drive back to Westgate Shopping Center by 5 PM.
