Oh, Marilyn, I just LOVE my labelmaker, and it's the same as yours, the PT-65. It's the most basic version there is--the full name is the Brother P-Touch Home & Hobby, and it suits all my clients' needs. You can find them at all office supply stores like Staples or Office Depot. Moreover, I've had it since early 2002, use it almost every day, and have only had to replace the batteries a handful of times in all these years. And best yet (for me), it's portable and not dependent upon a connection to a computer.

My Brother is a dynamo...Not to be confused with DYMO, the other top brand of labeler. In the organizing profession, we certainly use our labelmakers for more than just files, and the buzz over different versions and brands of labelmakers can get very loud. (We professional organizers are office supply geeks of the highest order.) The general concensus is that we all love the Brother technology, even at the lowest-tech end, but sadly, we prefer the DYMO labeling tape...and they're not suitable for one another. The DYMO tape benefits from having a split backing, making it much easier for those without long nails to peel the label from the backing.

And we're all in agreement that nobody should attempt to buy the Martha Stewart brand of labelers. I hate to speak negatively about anyone, but I've yet to see one of Martha's labelmakers not break down within the first month of use. :-(

Marilyn, I'm sure I'd love your filing cabinet. :-)

Finally, I'm less bothered by lost posts than the ones that don't format properly. Sometimes, on some networks, I type away and my paragraph breaks are entirely accepted and my links appear as hotlinks. On the very same networks at other times, or on different networks, I have to type HTML code just to get my paragraphs to appear rather than having all my text running in one long block. I guess it's good I'm NOT going trick-or-treating as Ryze. :-)
