On a personal level, I laugh easily, care deeply, and don't take life too seriously. I value the process of self-awareness and thrive in an environment of continued learning. I also enjoy good conversations and I can usually find the "silver lining" in most situations.
After graduating from college with my Early Childhood Education diploma, I started my own childcare business. When my daughter was born, it was great to be able to raise her at home with other children around.
We relocated to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada about 7 years ago, when I left the child-care field. Now, I'm Self-Employed full-time while working for the local school board on a part-time basis. (I really like being around the kids, and it helps to learn how to cope with teenagers as I'll be dealing with my own soon enough.)
We're really happy here in Ottawa, but I still love my home town and am planning to go back in the next five years or so. I'm keeping my eye out for a piece of land with waterfront so I can have a nice little house and lots of gardens...
I'm glad to be here and I'm looking forward to getting to know the community.
