Eileen,

I am in total agreement with you here. It makes no sense for a brick-and-mortar retail store that is not located in Lake County, CA to advertise on those to-do-list boards. But, for a business which "lives and breathes" on the Internet - this is ideal!

We currently have a wide range of folks already involved - from a resort, to a Ning network, to a web designer. Nothing quite like this has ever even been attempted in this county. And, that makes it special. That makes it newsworthy. And, since I happen to write for the San Francisco Examiner, I can personally see to it that it becomes newsworthy. Would you like to get news about your business in the San Francisco Bay Area? Well, Sherry Simoes and I are giving 12 Ryzers that opportunity in an advertising vehicle that lasts a lot longer than any advertising display ad ever could - 100 dry eraser to-do-list boards. Each board has a magnetic backing so it fits nicely on the front of a refrigerator. On Sunday, Oct. 4th, I am to be the keynote speaker at a workshop and brunch on social media in the new economy. Do you think I am going to mention what the Ryze Business Network is planning for my community? You better believe I will.

Ryzers have been reaching out to this community for FIVE LONG YEARS. However, there has never been a BIG PUSH where Ryzers left something behind in the community - with the exception of Althea Garner's vinyl tote bags - that the locals could actually use. But, with these to-do-list boards, not one but many advertiser are going to leave something behind of value to the local residents here. Will the residents here figure the campaign out and desire to get involved with Ryze? I think this time they will. And, here is why:

There has never been a physical training facility wherein the local public could receive hands-on training with regard to social media. But now, the Hidden Valley Food Mart has taken stepped up to the plate. This place looks like an ordinary convenience store that's located just off a major state highway. But, it's much more. How many convenience stores do you know employ a chef? You can stop off at this convenience store, go into a dining area, sit down and eat a thick steak - prepared by a chef. Amazing but true.

Ting's Thai Kitchen and the Hidden Valley Food Mart are engaging in mutual collaboration to help each other out. I want the Ryze community to have the same mindset toward helping each other out that these two restaurants have. See it as a win/win situation when you collaborate. Think "better together." It really does work...when you are willing to CARE, CONNECT...and have a GOOD DESIGN. I am convinced this time a GOOD DESIGN has been created.

For those Ryzers who have a business that "lives and breathes" on the Internet, this promotion is meant for you. Please do not pass up this historic opportunity. Help make historic marketing magic happen for your business and Lake County, CA simultaneously. Go to Ryze Uplift and sign up for one of those remaining display ad spaces on that magnetic to-do-list board.
