Nitin Shah A Kolkata bsed company, offered to set up police booths at about 60 locations in Bangalore, manned by police personnel and having same power as police stations, equipped with wireless, arms and ammunations and power to register FIR.This was taken up at the highest police administration level. But the plan fell through, becuase they do not have sufficient police personnel available to man these booths. They are not interested in recruiting or training in any near future. So, as I see it, there is no end to this state of affirs, it is just going to get worse. Chief Minister is chip off the old block. There will be no initiative from him or his Government. Where does he have time? These guys are only interested in taking from software industry, and when time comes to give it back, they look the other way. Has any of the local MLA's even raised this issue in the legislature ? I doubt it.
