Hi all, Was just mulling over efficient ways to make the city safer and came up with a simple idea.
Why cant we ask the FM radio channels for their help. someone like radio City, they have all the infrastructure in place, people in distress can send a SMS to their dedicated 4 digit number & they can relay this information on Radio.
i am sure that most people are tuned onto the FM radio while driving (late nights).
If we can impress upon the FM channels to agree to this, they can alert everyone tuned in on their radio frequency about the nature of distress and other clues like vehicle number , vehicle colour, heading in which direction etc.
Any driver in the area of distress can respond to this call, thus mobilising instant help.
This channel can also be interactive as people can phone in and report the progress and incase of multiple teams responding to the same distress call. ie, depending on the location the team ahead can be used to block the road and the teams following can rear block OR incase of Road junctions, the teams can split and follow one road each so no time is lost and the team spotting the subject of the chase can call in and inform the other teams through the FM station.
sounds a lill complicated eh.... i think this can work... now anyone who knows people at radio station????
Regards
