Hi Donna:
Great questions! I'll see if I can answer them.
There are a lot of great web sites that have graphics for digital scrapbookers. Hang on - I will go through my bookmarks and then post a list here. Of course, while you are waiting you could always do a Google search for computer generated scrapbooking ...
And don't forget EScraps.Com! We offer a free download every day - while there are a lot of graphics for sale, we do have quite a bit that are free. I can give you the URL to the free ones right now ... http://escraps.com/downloads and look at the home page in the lower right corner - a daily free graphic there.
One word about downloading free graphics from the web - most are in .png format so that backgrounds can be caused to be transparent. Such is the case with the downloads from EScraps.Com. All graphics you use on your scrapbook pages should be offered to you at a resolution of 200 dpi or above - anything lower, and you lose the quality when you print. Rest assured - EScraps.Com's graphics are at 300 dpi.
Now - how to upload --- your scrapbook layout must reside somewhere on the Internet, for starters. Mine reside at http://escraps.com/layouts/. Then, in your message here on the network you simply type in the following (removing the spaces, please between the < and the >)
< img src="http://yourwebite.com/yourlayout.jpg" (or.gif) > This creates a link from where your layout is to this list, and we can see your lovely layout.
Whew! I think that's enough for now ... I'll get back to you soon with a list of scrapbooking graphics sites.
