Michael Jackson
Hi Candyce--

I think several digital cameras already come with an "annotation" feature allowing you to speak into the camera exactly as described. The difficulty then becomes keeping the audio file with the pic.

Until they invent a digital still camera that we can speak into ... 'this is a photo of grandpa and the kids. Grandpa's name is George, and the children are Willy, Billy, and Nellie' ... we still have to remember to write this important information down somewhere. I am betting that you still have a box of old photos hiding somewhere with one or two pictures of people you know nothing about.

It has become habit for me to snap photos at a special occasion (or any occasion for that matter) then walk directly over to the wall calendar and write down the particulars: who - what - when - where.

I title the folder with the name of the event: 'Ashleigh's Talent Show November 2003' or some such title. Then, into this folder I place a text file of the who, what, when, and where. I get as detailed as I can - after all it may be months before I actually use these images in a layout.
