Moving to full electric POV raises the issue of where the electricity to charge those batteries is coming from. IF these future POV include a non-polluting and renewable generation source it will be a good move. If not, it simply moves the problem.
A good market innovation might be to include with the vehicle either an investment in wind or solar power, or an actual home system that will generate at least enough power for charging those batteries twice a day. This same approach can be applied to the hybrids being sold today.
It probably isn't fair to ask the battery developers to address all problems, and it is an enabling innovation for transportation and other power storage uses. _____
