John Williams: Laughter in Networking? |

I've been all to often in the position of having fella's assume that because I am outgoing and smiling at them that there is interest on my part "more" than just a networking event or a friendly passing conversation.
If a gentleman truly would like to know how to perceive it, one way, the simplest of all possible things would be to ask if the young lady would like to meet for lunch outside the networking event or whichever situation that you may be in at the time.
To assume, from my view point that romantic attention is "wanted" by a woman because she is smiling at a man (unless I am perhaps misunderstanding the question) is a mistake.
The worst thing on earth that could happen? Is they'd say no thank you. And you can accept that graciously which at an event is important. Well I feel its important at any time but just my two cents this morning :)
