Hi All,
I would never have guessed that people are this slow to embrace the internet.
My experience is just the opposite. I an involved with an internet project in my neighboodhood and we've been successful in getting people involved. We recently switched our newsletter over to Yahoo Groups and lost a few subscribers. However, I see greater use of the internet for shopping, news and weather information. Broadband service and different search engines are gaining in popularity.
It would be interesting to canvas this same group about how much television they watch per day. Look how amny years it took for TV to gain mass appeal. Perhaps there's some competition here.
What this sample does point out is opportunity, especially for the business and social network niche. You know what they say--build it and they will come.
Blessings,
Faye
