I could make a shameless plug and refer you to my book "mCommerce Security: A Beginner's Guide" published Jan 2002 by McGrawHill (see http://www.securitypundit.com) but I wont do that :)

Some specific links to check out:

http://www.connectedpc.com/technology/itj/q22000/articles/art_5.htm

http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,1073,00.asp

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/tools/wireless_articles_other.htm

In general, if the WLAN is setup with the proper supporting architecture (like firewalls), you can have a secure setup. If you are looking for a plug and play secure WLAN, you may have to wait a little longer.

Hope that gives you a little start.

I have heard that wireless communications still has several flaws in it, and that data security is not at its best yet. does anyone have any thoughts on who i could go to get information or software, to increase security.
