Shane Clevenger
I recently read an article in an industry magazine from an Anti-MLM Zealot who was stating that all mlms would soon fail because of Saturation. He said that there was not anyone left in the United States who has not been approached, or been involved in a network marketing opportunity. I thought long an hard about this as I was flying to a sales convention for my job at U.S Bank. At the evening session one of my mentors a Regional manager was talking about a marketing strategy we use call Aisle marketing. Our branches are locating inside super markets, so it makes sense to us that we would walk the aisles, and let people know who, and where we are. He said something that brought my U.S bank career, and my NW business in prospective. He said " Our job when we go aisle marketing is not to pull in a sale everytime we go out. It is to go out, and make friends with everyone in the store, and make sure when they have a problem with their current bank, or are in need of a change they will say " well hey so, and so over at the store was a nice fellow maybe I'll go talk to him"
You see I recently opened this branch in my home town, and I would say 95% of all the folks here have a relationship with an existing bank. We were able to get the other 5% right off the bat, but what about the other 95%. Well somethings gonna happen, Someones gonna make them mad, a product, or service will change that will make them want to change... Thats were we come in, and in through our marketing folks already know who we are, it makes them comfortable with switching to us.
So how does this relate to saturation, and MlM.
Well I agree that there is a good percentage of folks who have been involved, or who are currently involved in a business opportunity. So the same can be said with the above message. If we get out there, and let folks know who we are, and what our opportunity is, and when those folks get fed up with there current opportunity, or have a fight with upline, or whatever may happen. It will be easy for them to contact you for advice, or to see what your opportunity is all about.
We all know how many people leave opportunities every year, and I would dare to say a good majority of them join another opportunity that may fit there style, or needs better.
So this whole deal about Saturation is a myth.
How else would companies like Xango, Passport, Isagenix, and Movie Biz be so successful. It's definetly not from the millions of folks who haven't been contacted, or who are waiting around for an opportunity
Anyway just my 2 cents
