I woke up!! and here's the gist . .
Well, it happenned ! MGM by the pool on a nice sunny evening was great.
It was slated to start at 5:30 but i guess, indain stretchable time saw people trickling in pretty late.
Anurag, Aarti and myself got there by 5:30 and Anand had hitch hiked alongwith us.
Mukund(our legal front) landed a little while after and we comfortably dumped the responsibility of collections to him. We were using the legal whip to scare people into parting with their money...
Anyways, by about 7 pm, we saw Vibha, Suren, Shilpa, Dr. Charles strolling in. Vibha needs special mention as she gotten in from Pondy just for us... What a FuFa spirit.
The Barbeque got going with Chicken and Paneer... We had JN coming in alongwith Kanchana (she's going to join in Ryze and be a FuFa pretty soon). Satish and Milind also brought themselves in. Pretty soon, everybody ahd met everybody and a few drinks down. We had decided to have a small game.
Half the crownd formed a small circle and the other half a bigger outer circle. The music started and each circle going in the opposite direction. When the music stopped, one nominated person asked one common FuFa question and the persons facing each other in the 2 circles answered each other. And so it went on for about 6-7 questions....
The Bar flowing pretty well by then and so did the sizzlers. Getting to know everybody was fun, discussing what fun the Fufa board and how to make Chennai more Fun was the most serious we ever got.
By this time Ben and Ajay walked in and so did Govind. Govind made inspite of some earlier family engagement. Way to go! More people, more FuFa fun.
The night just flew past and about 9 pm , a few far flunged FuFas had to start back on their arduous journey with an excitement of not leaving the place. The Buffet dinner was simple but really wonderful.
Ram and Venky, real fun guys who were friends of Aarti popped in and added more merry to the lot. And so did Inderjeet joining us late since he working so hard.
Most of us stayed back to enjoy the breeze, walk the beach with the pale light dancing in the breaking waves. The sand soft, under our feet and the wind echoed our chatter. We moved into the Beachside resurant by force and gathered around to sit and listen in on some wonderful music by the band playing there that night.
We also tried to force them to get Ben to sing along (incidentally Ben is an accomplished singer and has great vocals). That kinda failed looking at our unruly crowd. We plonked ourselves by the beach, shouting out requests and having fun with our endless chatter. The conversation and laughter filled fun was great. Quite a few of us, i am sure have found more FUN people in Chennai, thanks to this FuFa mixer
By about 11:30 pm, we headed out to polish of that nice dinner and pay the bill and head back happily home for the evening well spent.
I did want to take a lot of photos, but mingling with people and having so much fun, the camera took back seat. But nevertheless, heres a few of them.

The Mis-Management Committee had real fun even organising it with so many mini mixer happening at java green with endless coffees. The pillars of support from Soeb, lalit and LKg added to our own fervour. To those who could not make, am sure we can get around to organising more.

P.S - A dread of a few of them not turning up did happen. and those who did not but had said "Yes", please get in touch with either Aarti, Mukund(Devil), Anurag or self to pay up by the end of this week.
